50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (1)

The bathroom is a very important room in the home. While it doesn’t give the first impression and it doesn’t give the last, the way that your bathroom looks is a rather good indication of where your priorities lie as a person. Maybe I’m being dramatic, but I’ve been in my fair share of scary ones, so a good one really says something about a person.

If you’re looking to remodel your bathroom, there are so many different directions that you could go! A bathroom can be rustic, modern, slick, or cozy, but in this article we’re going to focus on Spanish-inspired primary bathroom looks.

Why do you ask? Well, Spanish-inspired bathrooms do a great job of incorporating all of the best and most inviting aspects of interiors. They incorporate tons of natural materials like ceramic tiles and wood, they aren’t afraid to use colors and textures, and they tend to just invite you in with their simultaneous class and eccentricity. Without further ado, we hope that you enjoy this gallery of 12 Spanish-Inspired Primary Bathroom Ideas!

1. The Dreamy & Cozy Tiled Bathroom

50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (2)

Floors & Walls: We’re starting off this collection with a rather classic and unique look. Gorgeous limestone tiles are made a little extra special with amazing ornate tiles in each corner, while the walls are made entirely from tiles as well. I love how the limestone can act like a subtle undertone, while the patterned tiles really add a fun pizazz, and the deep blue tiles add a romantic richness. Just lovely!

Features: I appreciate it when a shower room feels a little bit separate from the rest of the room, and a set of three stairs does a great job of making it feel a little extra special. This deep tub is just perfect for one, and it’s cleverly set right below the generously sized window.

Decor: With such ornate detail found in the tile work around the room, we really don’t need much more to make the room feel decorated and complete. All we need is a super cozy bath mat and maybe some glorious tropical plants beside the bathtub, and this is the perfect bathroom!

2. The Vibrant & Quaint Spanish-Inspired Bathroom

Floors & Walls: Now this is a bathroom design that I’m sure you don’t see every day. Again we have a wonderful instance of tiles being used for both the floors and walls, with gorgeous rusty tiles separated by sapphire blue accent tiles, which is carried through the sapphire blue bordering around the door frame. I absolutely adore how the entire shower room is completely tile as well. It feels so luxurious and adds a glorious flurry of color.

Features: We don’t really need to talk about the toilet. I just wish we had another photo where we could see what the other features of the room look like!

Decor: I think it’s wonderful how rustic and quaint the decorations are in this space. I appreciate the built in shelving unit for number two magazines beside the toilet. The wooden cross towel hangers are a very 90’s touch. Adore!

3. The Aquamarine Dream Bathroom

Floors & Walls: Yet another beautiful bathroom design that is using tile to its utmost ability. A gorgeous collection of rounded tiles in varying rusted shades reminds me of gigantic pennies (which also would make for a glorious mosaic come to think of it). These rusty colors are beautifully matched with a stunning aquamarine color that is resemblant of deep ocean waters. Though I don’t adore this particular shade of subtle yellow for the walls, I don’t hate it either.

Features: A simple vanity with white cabinets and an under-mount porcelain sink bring utility and simplicity to an overall vibrant room. I also adore how the tile for the walls has been used for the countertop as well. That shower room makes me feel like I’d never want to leave if I entered it!

Decor: Simple decoration with brass crosses on the wall (there seems to be a bit of a theme going on here) is a good choice when using more bold tiles such as these. I would have picked a contrasting color for the towels if this bathroom were mine!

4. The Lavish Limestone Spanish-Style Bathroom

Floors & Walls: Now this is a bathroom that I could probably just use as an entire apartment. Enormous in size and in style, this space uses gorgeous limestone tiling with accent tiles and border tiles to create dynamic shapes and patterns. It must be so fun designing tile patterns like this! It acts as a piece of artwork all on its own.

Features: This beautiful bathroom comes equipped with everything that you could need and it happens to be gorgeous. Dark rich chocolate stained cupboards act as the base for a double vanity that’s topped with warm marbled countertops, and perfect porcelain under-mount sinks. A very generously sized bathtub is set below landscape windows, and a separate shower room with benches really brings the whole space to another level.

Decor: With tiles as beautiful as these (I have a feeling I’m going to be saying this quite a bit in this gallery) you really don’t need much else in terms of decoration, but we do get a bit with patterned towels and robust light fixtures that are meant to look like lit candles. That’s such a cute idea for a relaxing bathroom!

5. The Classic & Serene Spanish Bathroom

50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (6)

Floors & Walls: I really appreciate how this is a room that is so clearly modernly executed, but it takes a ton of inspiration from more classic designs. Glorious limestone tiles make for warm and inviting floors (those are certainly heated tiles) and creamy ivory walls are a great accompaniment. The whole space feels serene, spacious, and very clean.

Features: Obviously the most impressive feature of the room is this incredible vanity. Two vanity zones with full sized mirrors, brass hardware, and spacious countertops are just the beginning. We have floor to ceiling storage with drawers and cupboards, all of which are covered with distressed cabinetry in a cooler gray/brown tone. This is a smart color to use if you want to make something feel more new and fresh.

Decor: This bathroom is so simple and so neatly designed. All of the handles and hardware matches, the light fixtures match those, and everything else is just the most delectable bathroom stuff like towels and creams and candles. The perfect bathroom from top to bottom.

6. The Antique Cathedral Spanish-Style Bathroom

Floors & Walls: Now I have no idea what kind of building this bathroom is in, all that I know is that I want to live here. Immediately. Gorgeously shaped terra-cotta tiles lay the groundwork, while creamy white walls are the perfect accompaniment to some rather incredible tile work and stained glass.

This arched window is decorated with beautiful shapes and colors of stained glass and acts as a piece of artwork all on its own. And though we just get a glimpse, a vaulted ceiling in a bathroom is a rather dramatic touch, wouldn’t you say?

Features: While the clawfoot tub is obviously adorable and perfect, we need to spend our time talking about this shower room feature. It’s like Harry Potter meets Romeo & Juliette. The rounded wall acts as a privacy wall (sort of) and narrow windows provide decoration and light. I just can’t believe how glorious this all is!

Decor: The room is so gorgeous that it truly does not need decoration, but this robust stool that can act as a little side table is a nice and rustic touch. All I need is a huge and texture bath mat and I’m ready to move in.

7. The Vintage Perfection Spanish Bathroom

50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (8)

Floors & Walls: This bathroom feels like it came out of a fairy tale. Beautiful brick colored tiles for the floor give us a robust and romantic foundation, while soft cream is used for the rest of the room. Almost everything here is distressed, including the wall paint that guides us towards this over-the-top gorgeous vaulted ceiling.

Features: There’s quite the emphasis on cabinetry in this room and it works. Distressed paint effects are being used to make the room feel vintage and shabby chic, and a double vanity with top mount sinks ensure that you have nothing but space for you and your loved ones. My favorite feature is obviously the bathtub, which is so quaint and cute up there in its own little nook and set below the most adorable window.

Decor: This room is so beautifully decorated with a patterned Persian rug for the floor, a little love seat, some candle-holder style wall lamps, some plants for freshness and life, and a surprisingly bohemian light fixture for the centre of the ceiling. Gorgeous from tip to tip.

8. The Modern & Pretty Spanish Style Bathroom

Floors & Walls: A heavenly bathroom from head to toe, this gorgeous space starts with deep brown ceramic floors that guide us up towards creamy colored walls that are decorated with tons of mirrors, windows, and sweet storage to create a truly remarkable space. What makes this space extra special is the slanted ceiling covered in rustic wooden beams.

Features: While modest in size, this bathroom really has everything that you could need. The double vanity is topped with a gorgeous raw-edged stone countertop and under-mount porcelain sinks, a clever storage unit to conceal all of your towels and cosmetics, and a truly sensational tub that is remarkably deep with edges of beautiful stone siding. And do you see that fancy hardware?

Decor: I really appreciate the simplicity of the decorations in this bathroom design, from the bouquet of flowers on the vanity counter, fuzzy white towels wherever you need them, and a darling crystal chandelier that you can gaze at while you’re oozing away in that glorious tub. Heavenly!

9. The Art House Bathroom

Floors & Walls: Wow! It’s not every day that you see a bathroom like this. While it may not be so obviously Spanish-inspired, it has elements that the aesthetic shares. For example, gorgeous and ornate tiles in neutral tones adorn the floors, while simple white walls make way for more important decorative elements.

Features: I have a hard time looking beyond once I see a fireplace, so can we take a moment to worship a fireplace in a bathroom!? Is there anything more luxurious?! A tub in the centre of a room also screams luxury, especially with such beautiful rounded edges and gorgeous hardware. A simple double vanity in the back of the room ensures that the most important features stay at the main focus of the room.

Decor: I really love the decorating in this room! It’s not so often that you see large paintings in bathrooms and this provides an element of class and modernity. A large wood framed mirror brings an element of warmth, and all of the adorable beach-themed trinkets hiding in the vanity shelving provide a bit of personality that I always look for in a room.

10. The Charming Spanish-Inspired Bathroom

50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (11)

Floors & Walls: We’re going a bit more classic with this bathroom design with diagonally arranged limestone tiles, and creamy walls made a bit more interesting with gorgeous rounded archways. My personal favorite element of this room is the siding around the bathtub comprised of various styles of tiles to create a stunning mosaic.

Features: A very generously sized double vanity is topped with shining stone countertops and rounded under-mount sinks. Rounded mirrors do a great job of mirroring all the framing in the room. Another personal favorite element of this room is the quaint little tub in the corner of the room, just big enough for one person. What a beautiful way to spend an evening!

Decor: We have some rather gaudy decoration in this room (and I do not use that term in a derogatory way) with tons of brass decorations found in the chandelier, candle holders, and wall lamps. I love the pot of orchids set behind the bathtub, only increasing your sense of serenity.

11. The Luxurious & Wonderful Relaxation Bathroom

50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (12)

Floors & Walls: Now this is a room that reminds me of when I used to visit my very wealthy ex-boyfriend’s parents. Being at their house felt like being at the spa, and this room is the epitome of that feeling. It all starts with simple and subtle white tiles which guide us into creamy faux-finish walls and a slightly rounded ceiling.

Features: This vanity is quite the thing to behold, with cabinets adorned with mirrored doors covered in swirling decorative metalwork. The countertop tones this decorative element down with shining stone countertops, and is matched with quite a bodaciously framed mirror. This deep tub set in front of the huge windows is really the perfect place to the let the stress of your day melt away.

Decor: Having such bold features in the room doesn’t leave much room for extra decoration (nor does it need it) but I do find that these heavy curtains and drapes do a great job of extending the luxury to every corner of the room.

12. The Retro Tiled Spanish Bathroom

50 Spanish-Style Primary Bathroom Ideas (Photos) (13)

Floors & Walls: We’re going to finish off this collection with a bathroom that is more on the retro side, but you simply cannot deny just how special all of the features are. Uniquely shaped tiles immediately create a sense of interest, while creamy white walls guide us towards vaulted ceilings with a skylight in the centre. This bathroom is huge!

Features: Not only does this bathroom have a double vanity, but each one has its very own wall! Generously sized countertops are topped with beautiful aquamarine tiles and wooden top-mount sinks, and very gaudy mirrors bring the whole feature together. I adore that strange little copper bathroom in the back of the room. What a strange shape!

Decor: There are so many different types and styles of tiles in this room, creating a really special mosaic in every area that you look. A traditional, candle-style chandelier brings a rustic element that I adore. This bathroom is so large that you could incorporate a cozy little seating area, and I am just dying to know what that would look like!

This strange and wonderful bathroom has been brought to you by Rustico Tile and Stone.
