    Interesting combo!

I used to HATE avocados. Then my boyfriend made this amazing salsa using them a few years ago, when we were camping, and it was SO good. Now – I’m not a lover of them exactly – but definitely experimenting to see what I do like :) Great idea in this recipe!

I made these this afternoon for my very picky 18mnth old. He will not eat banana or avacado by themselves. Handed him one just now and he loved it. The only thing I did different was added an extra banana.

I stumbled upon this recipe when searching for ways to incorporate more veggies into toddlers food. I happened to have everything I needed to make. I used sugar in the raw and added applesauce. I also used whole milk. They turned out great! So moist and delicious and can barely taste the avocado but happy it’s in there! My son was calling it “cake” and it’s nice knowing its sweet but loaded with nutrition.

Honey is added sugar if used, and there is added sugar in the chocolate chips so saying this recipe is naturally sweet mostly true but not really lol. I plan to use raisins instead of the morsels and not add the honey and I am sure they will still be good :-). Thanks for the recipe!

Hi! Honey is naturally sweet though so I think that makes sense. The chocolate is something to think about! I think these will be ok with raisins, but the honey really helps!

Made these, omitted the oats, and added a few additions/alterations: tbsp of hemp hearts, 1/8 tsp chia seeds, 1/4 tsp honey, 2 tbsp of chocolate chips (I used dark) and 2 tbsp of chopped dates, 1 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp ginger, and 1 tsp cinnamon I used oats, flax seed, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and coconut shards for the topping.

I found the dates and the chocolate chips to be such a great combination. I added some of these ingredients because I have digestion issues. .

Thank you so much for this yummy recipe!

Very tasty. My wife is a big avocado fan and I can take them or leave them. But being a big chocolate fan, I find the flavors a nice blend. But they seem awfully heavy. I’ll have to check my baking soda, but they may even need a little bit more leavening, in my opinion. I also wonder about it, since the avocado and banana measurements are inexact. Nevertheless, worth trying again. Seems we always have the ingredients on hand!
